Hi all,
This is a very important message!!! You DO NOT have to be Cambodian to help support what I will soon mention. It's time to use your rights---the right of speech, freedom and expression!
As Cambodians, we are losing pieces of our land, precious artifacts and even identity because they have been stolen from us. IF we do not do anything about it, our children will no longer be able to identify themselves as a Cambodian child. BUT if we stand up for what we believe and know what's ours, we will be able to PREVENT sovereignty by another nation.
Recently, there has been a very serious conflict in Cambodia. Thai government has sent out their military to occupy Cambodia's temple in Preah Vihear. Like the Angkor Wat conflict, Thais claim that Preah Vihear belongs to them, though there are many historical facts that they have been grown in Cambodia's soil! There are many ways for us to stand up for our land and one of them is to, "submit this petition to the United Nations and to the United States of America to request the support for withdrawal of the Thai military and paramilitary from Cambodia’s Preah Vihear and the surrounding agreed disputed regions."(www.petitiononline. com)
